Requests instead of orders
In some exceptional cases, you will notice that your order will not be submitted immediately, and you will not be able to pay for it straightaway. Instead, the web shop will indicate that you must submit a request and that your order will have to go through an approval process. This process is usually complete within an hour following your request. As soon as your request is approved, you will automatically receive a request for payment, and you can then complete the ordering process.
There are several possiblereasons for this.
The main reason is that there are several articles in our web shop to which restrictions apply. These are often items whose availability is currently (extremely) low and for which there is suddenly much higher demand than usual. Our philosophy dictates that we always try to make as many customers as possible happy with a bottle or a collector’s item. By imposing these restrictions, we are actively trying to prevent a few customers from buying up our entire stock and then reselling it at exorbitant prices. If we suspect abuse, duplicate customer accounts etc., we always reserve the right to refuse an application or to reduce the quantities requested.
A second reason for this process could be irregular quantities on your order. Since our web shop focuses mainly on B2C sales, since we have and try to maintain a unique product range and since we try to set competitive prices, it is important for us to prevent another shop from buying up our stock and then reselling it at higher prices. And that is why our web shop keeps an eye on things. If we notice that the quantities are higher than what we can normally expect from a private individual, then your request will be directed to an approval process and will be evaluated by one of our employees. This evaluation also usually occurs within an hour of submitting your request.
In other cases, we may even go and do a physical stock check in our warehouse to be sure we can still deliver the requested quantities in excellent condition.
Even for those orders that must go through a manual approval process due to one or more of the above reasons, we try to keep our promise of same-day shippingfor orders placed before 10 a.m., and we process these requests as quickly as possible. However, do keep in mind that your order is only placed after payment has been received and not once your application has been approved.
