Château Fourcas Hosten 2022 is a red Bordeaux from Listrac-Médoc, made by an estate that has been reshaping its vineyard work since 2010 through soil studies and parcel-by-parcel planting. The 2022 vintage also has a particular relevance for the château, as it is the second organically certified vintage of this wine.
The blend is firmly rooted in the Médoc tradition: 53% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. Merlot is mainly planted on clay-limestone soils, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot come from the gravel-rich sections of the estate. That combination gives the wine its mixture of ripe fruit, structure and retained freshness.
