Chapelle D'Ausone 2020
On request only
Chapelle d'Ausone 2020 is the second wine of Château Ausone in Saint-Émilion, made on the same estate as the Grand Vin. It is drawn from selections of younger vines and parcels not included in the first wine, while being produced under comparable conditions. That makes it a serious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in its own right, carrying the Ausone signature through a slightly different expression.
The 2020 blend is led by Cabernet Franc, at 60%, with 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. That Cabernet Franc presence is central to the wine's aromatic, floral and savoury side. Its origin on the estate's clay-limestone slopes and asteria limestone also supports the chalky, mineral impression noted across tasting descriptions.

Chateau Angelus 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Angélus 2020 Magnum is Saint-Émilion on a grand scale, not only because of the 1.5 litre format, but also because this is the estate's grand vin from a highly regarded 2020 vintage. The château refers to this millésime as Le Sublime, a name that reflects the importance of the release within the estate's own presentation.
The wine comes from the south-facing slope and foot of the slope in Saint-Émilion, on clay-limestone soils. Its blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc is central to its identity. The Merlot brings depth and volume, while the Cabernet Franc plays an important role in the floral lift, precision and tension described for this vintage.
Vinification is carried out by grape variety and parcel. The (…)Chateau Ausone 2020

Chateau Ausone 2020
On request only
Château Ausone 2020 is a Saint-Émilion with a very clear sense of origin. It is the grand vin of Château Ausone, drawn from the small estate's limestone and clay-limestone slopes and plateau in Saint-Émilion. For the 2020 vintage, it was classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A under the classification in force at that time.
The blend is 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot, a composition that gives the wine depth, structure and a strong Cabernet Franc signature. The grapes were harvested by hand in September 2020, then vinified traditionally by parcel. Maturation took place for around 20 months in entirely new French oak barriques.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Bordeaux we would introduce as a serious cellaring (…)Chateau L'Evangile 2020

Chateau L'Evangile 2020

Château L'Evangile 2020 is the grand vin of this Pomerol estate on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The blend for this vintage is built around 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, with no Cabernet Sauvignon included in the grand vin. That gives the wine a very clear Pomerol identity: dark fruit, depth and structure, carried by the natural weight of Merlot and the aromatic lift of Cabernet Franc.
The 2020 growing season brought dry conditions, and the château chose to begin harvesting early and selectively. Young Merlot parcels were picked in time to avoid overripe, candied aromas and to protect the freshness of the fruit. Cabernet Franc was also selected with care, including parcels valued for their aromatic freshness. That context helps explain why the wine is described as (…)Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2015 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2015 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Lafite Rothschild 2015 Demi is the Grand Vin of Château Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac, offered here in the 37.5 cl half-bottle format. The size is smaller, but the wine is the same 2015 cuvée as in the standard bottle.
Its origin is northern Pauillac, close to Saint-Estèphe, with key vineyard sources on the Plateau des Carruades. The clay and gravel soils provide good drainage and form an important setting for Cabernet Sauvignon, which leads the 2015 blend with 91%, supported by 9% Merlot.
The 2015 growing season brought warmth, moderated by the ocean and the Gironde estuary, while August rain helped restore freshness during ripening. Vinification was carried out according to parcel origin and grape maturity, followed by 20 (…)Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2019

Château Lafite Rothschild 2019 is the Grand Vin of the Pauillac estate and part of the 1855 Premier Cru classification. It sits firmly in the world of left-bank Bordeaux, with Cabernet Sauvignon at the centre and a style built around depth, finesse and long-term ageing.
The 2019 blend is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. The fruit comes from the estate vineyards in Pauillac, with fine, deep gravel soils and well-drained exposures, alongside a small historic parcel base in neighbouring Saint-Estèphe that may be used for the Grand Vin. Only vines older than ten years are selected. Harvest took place from 19 September to 7 October, following a growing season shaped by heat, well-timed rain and a measured ripening period for the Cabernet (…)Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Lafite Rothschild 2019 Magnum is the Grand Vin of Château Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac in Bordeaux. This is a dry red Bordeaux blend from the AOC Pauillac, produced by a château ranked among the Premiers Grands Crus Classés of 1855. The 1.5-litre magnum format highlights the presentation, while the wine remains the same 2019 Grand Vin in identity and origin.
Cabernet sauvignon defines the blend, accounting for 94%, supported by 5% merlot and 1% petit verdot. The fruit comes from the estate in northern Pauillac, close to Saint-Estèphe, with the Plateau des Carruades identified as an important part of Lafite's finest terroirs. Château Lafite Rothschild 2020 Demi is the estate's Grand Vin in a 37.5 cl half-bottle. Demi refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée, so this is the same Château Lafite Rothschild 2020 in a smaller and more considered format.
The 2020 blend is led decisively by Cabernet Sauvignon: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 7% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. It comes from Pauillac, where gravel-rich soils and parcel-by-parcel vinification are central to the estate's approach. After selection, the wine spends 15 months in new French oak barrels.
In the Bordeaux selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for its pedigree and restraint: a Premier Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, from a vintage the château (…)Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2019

Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2019

Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2019 is the red Grand Vin of the estate in Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux. What immediately sets this vintage apart is the strong role of Cabernet Franc: 42% of the blend, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. That gives the wine a distinctive identity within its appellation, with aromatic detail, freshness and structure playing a central role.
The fruit came from 7.60 hectares of estate vineyards, with vines averaging 42 years of age on gravel over clay-limestone subsoil. Harvesting was carried out entirely by hand between 17 and 29 September. In the cellar, the grapes were not crushed and part of the vinification used whole bunches, followed by a 35-day cuvaison. Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2019 is the estate's Grand Vin from Pessac-Léognan, offered here in a 37.5 cl half bottle. The demi format is simply the bottle size, not a separate cuvée, making it a practical way to enjoy the same wine in a more intimate setting.
A defining feature of this 2019 release is the prominent role of cabernet franc in the blend, alongside cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The grapes were harvested by hand between 17 and 29 September, from plots rooted in gravel soils over clay and limestone. The château describes the vintage as one of balance for Bordeaux: rich, dense and elegant despite challenging climatic conditions.
Its 24-month maturation adds another layer to the story, with ageing divided between new oak (…)Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2019 Magnum is a red wine from Pessac-Léognan with a notably individual voice within Bordeaux. Cabernet Franc takes the largest share of the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. That detail matters here: it brings a floral, herbal freshness to the wine while keeping the structure and depth associated with the appellation.
The 2019 grand vin came from 7.60 hectares of estate vineyard, with vines averaging 42 years of age on gravel soils over clay and limestone. The grapes were hand-harvested, not crushed, and vinified partly with whole bunches. Maturation lasted 24 months, using new barrels, foudres and terracotta jars. In the 2019 vintage, the blend is built around 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot.
Its Pauillac origin is central to the wine's identity. The vineyards lie on the Plateau de Mouton and surrounding parcels, with deep, poor gravel soils over a clay-limestone subsoil. The wine comes from Pauillac AOC and carries Premier Cru Classé status. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the 2019 blend at 90%, supported by 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Mouton's vineyard lies on deep, poor gravel soils with a clay-limestone subsoil, and the château points especially to the Plateau de Mouton as central to the Grand Vin. Its Cabernet Sauvignon core comes from Maya's Vineyard, a five-acre parcel planted in 1987 and named after Maya Dalla Valle.
The site lies on the eastern slopes of Oakville, on volcanic, iron-rich soils. For 2020, the growing season began dry, with a relatively warm spring, followed by warm days and cool Napa evenings. Ripening accelerated in August, bringing an early harvest. Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier work from Morey-Saint-Denis across several Burgundy appellations. This Aloxe-Corton shows a Côte de Beaune side of their range: site-specific, structured and shaped by a careful élevage rather than by appellation name alone.
For the 2020 vintage, the grapes were fully destemmed, followed by cold pre-fermentation maceration and spontaneous fermentation. The wine then matured slowly for 18 months on (…)Domaine Charlopin Tissier Vosne Romanee 2021

Its identity is rooted in place: the cuvée is linked to Les Ormes, also referred to as Aux Ormes, a small vineyard position in Vosne-Romanée with clay-limestone soils.
The domaine was founded in 2013 by Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier, and this wine reflects a careful, detailed approach to Burgundy. The grapes are fully destemmed, followed by cold maceration and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Ageing takes place slowly on fine lees in 228-litre Burgundian barrels, giving the wine more structure than a simple regional Burgundy while keeping Pinot Noir's sense of transparency.

Faiveley works on a very small scale here. The domaine owns around 0.35 hectare in Batard-Montrachet, with an eastern exposure and stony, ochre-coloured clay soils on a naturally draining slope. For the 2017 vintage, production is noted at around 1,500 bottles. In the Burgundy selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, that gives this bottle a naturally scarce character, especially now that only the last bottles remain.
The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, with a significant proportion of new oak and (…)Joseph Drouhin Clos De Vougeot Grand Cru 2019

Drouhin owns two plots there on a gentle east-facing slope, giving this wine a very specific place within the wider Clos de Vougeot story.
The wine is made from pinot noir, with fruit coming partly from Drouhin family parcels and partly from grapes or must selected from long-standing partners under strict specifications. Harvesting is by hand, fermentation takes place with native yeasts in small open vats, and for the 2019 vintage around 40% whole clusters are mentioned. Les Forts de Latour 2017 is the second wine of Château Latour in Pauillac, offered here in the 37.5 cl half-bottle format. That demi size gives a very appealing way to approach the Latour style without opening a full bottle.
The wine has carried the name Les Forts de Latour since 1966. Its fruit comes from several parts of the estate, including the edges of the historic Enclos vineyard and parcels within the Cru Classé zones of Pauillac. In 2017, two parcels that could normally have been considered for the Grand Vin were included in Les Forts de Latour.

The 2017 blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, with a substantial share of merlot adding to the wine's distinct identity.
At Château Latour, the 2017 vintage is described in terms of precision, structure and freshness. Maison Charlopin Tissier Marsannay Clos Dy Roy Blanc 2019 is a white Burgundy from Marsannay in the Côte de Nuits. Made from Chardonnay and linked to a named climat, this bottle speaks more about place than about a broad, anonymous style.
Maison Charlopin Tissier is based in Morey-Saint-Denis and was founded in 2013 by Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier. Promontory 2015 is a dry red wine from Napa Valley, made at the Promontory estate in the western hills of Oakville. Specialist sources describe it as Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Sauvignon-based, yet the real emphasis here is the site itself: a secluded, rugged landscape where vineyard parcels sit among woodland, brush and open rangeland.
The 2015 vintage was shaped by tension in the growing season. A dry and unusually warm winter was followed by cooler weather during flowering, reducing fruit set, and late-summer heat brought further pressure. Picking began early, on 8 September, but Promontory's cooler microclimate stretched the harvest over roughly four weeks. Nearly 54 separate picking passes and 40 individual vinifications give a clear sense of the precision behind (…)
