About BALLECHIN
De oorsprong van Edradour, gelegen in Pitlochry, in de zuidelijke Highlands, gaan terug tot 1825. In die tijd heette de distilleerderij Glenforres. De actuele naam werd niet genoemd tot 1837. Vandaag is Edradour, met meer dan 100 000 bezoekers per jaar, één van de drukst bezochte distilleerderijen van Schotland.
De totaliteit van de single malt die bij Edradour gedistilleerd wordt, is bestemd om gebotteld te worden als single malt, behalve het kleine deeltje wat gebruikt wordt voor de Edradour Cream. Sinds 2003 experimenteert Edradour onder leiding van Iain Henderson met de destillatie van "zwaar geturfde" whisky. De verkregen single malt voldoet aan de lieve naam van Ballechin. De gerst die wordt gebruikt om deze single malt te maken, wordt geturfd met minstens 50ppm fenol. Wat concurreert met zijn neven Islay!

Will my product be properly packaged?
All our orders are packed with the utmost care in sturdy cardboard shipping boxes, and filled with environmentally friendly crumpled cardboard to prevent damage to the bottle and packaging. We try to avoid the use of bubble wrap and other plastic as much as possible.
However, certain boxes and tubes are extremely sensitive to any form of packaging, and a package also goes through a lot before it is delivered to your front door. We offer you the assurance of completely flawless packaging in our shop in Zolder.
Can I ask questions about the product specifications?
Our team strives to supplement photos and product specifications with the utmost care and to keep them up-to-date. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, especially for products with a high rotation, products with multiple versions/packaging and products that are released several times under the same name/denominator/barcode, each time with a different lot number or different bottling date. Because the basic product is the same in such cases, we do not make a distinction in our webshop and we deliver what is in stock at that time.
If you are looking for a very specific release of a product, e.g. to supplement your collection, it is best to contact our customer service in advance so that we can physically check this for you before you place your order . This way we prevent disappointment and unnecessary sending of bottles back and forth.
If the product you received does not match the product information that we communicated in advance, you can choose to return this bottle to us and obtain a return label from our customer service.
Why can I only enter a certain number?
In our webshop you can never order more than the quantity that we can immediately deliver from our stock at that time. For larger quantities, please contact our customer service. In addition, exceptionally popular releases can also be limited in number per customer account.
Can I pick up my online order in your shop?
