Buying drinks online is convenient and tempting. With just a few clicks, you can discover a wide range of drinks and have them delivered straight to your door. Yet, there are some stumbling blocks that might keep you from ordering drinks online. Questions like "will the bottle arrive properly?" or "will it be shipped on time?" bring worries and anxiety.
We recognise these concerns, which is why we do everything we can to give you a worry-free experience. How exactly? We'd like to explain that to you in this blog!
1. Handle with care
One of the biggest fears when shopping online is the thought of your parcel rolling down the street like a bouncing football and ending up as a drenched, miserable heap of misery at your door.
Our experienced staff therefore ensure that your bottles are packed securely and safely, with adequate protection from bumps along the way. We do this with our own designed packaging, using as little plastic and bubble wrap as possible. Thanks to that carefully thought-out packaging, we currently deliver 99.7% of all our packages from the first time in perfect condition. In other words, this means that your drink will almost certainly reach you in perfect condition.
And if things don't arrive quite right after all, in such cases our dedicated customer service team is on hand to sort out any damage, refund or exchange.
Of course, for those who want to add an extra touch of security to the protection of their precious bottles, there is also our physical shop.
2. No more catfish states
We all know that nasty feeling when you go on a date and you discover you have met a catfish, someone who looks completely different from the pictures. Sometimes, product photos are so distorted and edited that you don't really know what to expect. Don't panic! We avoid these kinds of surprises.
A lot of our products have a 360° viewer, where you can turn the bottle or box completely around and view it from all angles based on photos we have taken ourselves. This allows you to discover the true nature of the product as if you were in the shop.
3. Knowledge is power
Another stumbling block when ordering drinks online is the lack of specific information, such as product specifications, lot numbers and bottling dates. We understand that these details can be especially important for connoisseurs and collectors.
We therefore strive to be as accurate as possible in our product descriptions and photos. We do our best to provide all relevant information, including specific details about the product. Do the photos or product description still not correspond to the product delivered? In such a case, we offer a free return policy.
But... prevention is better than cure! If certain features are particularly important to you (e.g. to complete your collection), it is best to contact our customer service department in advance. Our team will be happy to work with you to make sure that what you want to order matches what you hope to receive.
4. Security and stock management
You know that feeling when you order something online, anxiously wait for it and then ...bam! You are told that the product is out of stock. Rest assured, at Drankenshop Broekmans we don't settle for such tomfoolery.
We are proud to say that everything you see on our webshop is actually in stock. No false promises or disappointments here. If you can order and pay for something, we will also have it ready to send to you.
5. Enjoy without delay
You know that? You have a special occasion coming up and you enthusiastically order a package of delicious drinks. But oh, the horror! Hours, even days go by and your parcel never seems to arrive.
We don't like it at all either. We go out of our way to get your order to you as quickly as possible. If you order on working days before 10 a.m., your order will be dispatched the same day. So no long waiting times, but a quick and efficient arrangement and informed every step of the way.
6. Flexible delivery options for busy enjoyers
Do you often have to work late into the evening and are never at home during the week to receive your order?
We offer flexible delivery options, even for the busy workers among you! We also deliver on Saturdays, at no extra cost. In addition, we also offer alternative delivery points, such as post offices and parcel vending machines so you can pick up your order at a convenient location nearby.
7. Webshops are killing retail!
You may have already said it yourself once, or else you have undoubtedly had someone in your neighbourhood who said it at some point: web shops are the deathblow to the shop around the corner and I consciously do not go along with that! And there is certainly something to be said about that when you consider the gigantic, impersonal mega-corporations that disrupt local markets from abroad and make it almost impossible for local entrepreneurs to compete. In our industry, too, we unfortunately suffer from this.
But with us, things are a little different. After all, Drankenshop Broekmans is still first and foremost a local shop in the centre of Zolder, in Limburg, Belgium. And has been since 1989. At the helm is Jan Broekmans, no stranger to the world of spirits and wines. Our ambition is to be a (web)shop where every lover of spirits and wine can go, buy good drinks at a fair price and enjoy a high service level. Not a gigantic, nameless machine with headquarters abroad, but simply a top-notch, rock-solid Belgian retailer that wants to make a difference for you online.
