Oh no, it's that time of year again - Dry January! We can already hear you thinking, "Dry what? Is that when my favourite drink is out of stock?" Almost right, but not quite... Dry January is a well-known campaign where people are told not to drink alcohol throughout the month of January. As a Beverage Shop, we embrace this movement. We are happy to do our bit to raise awareness about our relationship with alcohol. Don't get us wrong, we love a good dram, but today we are putting our beloved whisky aside for a while. Discover our selection of alcohol-free alternatives.
Tournée Minérale: Belgium's own twist on the Dry January challenge
Dry January originated in the UK and spread worldwide as a movement of self-reflection and health. We pause to reflect on our drinking habits and become aware of how alcohol affects our daily lives. While many around the world embrace the challenge of Dry January, Belgium puts its own unique spin on the initiative: Tournée Minérale. Instead of giving up alcohol completely, Tournée Minérale is all about discovering refreshing, alcohol-free alternatives. Good news for those who are late to the Dry January-Challenge: Tournée Minérale starts on 1 February!
Are you participating in Dry January/Tournée Minérale, but have no idea what to drink on a Friday night? Not to worry! There are plenty of alternatives that preserve the flavour and pleasure of your favourite drink, without the side effects.

Our non-alcoholic gins
Our range includes several non-alcoholic gins, including Tanquerary, Gordon's and Fluere. In this blog, we briefly highlight the Seedlip, Botaniets, Whitley Neill and Holy Water brands.
Seedlip
Seedlip aims to change the way the world drinks with non-alcoholic options of the highest quality. The pioneering initiative offers sophisticated, adult options for people who do not drink alcohol. All Seedlip spirits are best enjoyed with tonic/soda or as a base for non-alcoholic cocktails.
Botaniets
Botaniets, the first traditionally distilled non-alcoholic gin, is low in sugar and calories and perfect for Gin & Tonic and other cocktail variations. Inspired as a tribute to an inherited recipe from 1887, Botaniets stays true to its classic origins. It is the only gin with 0.0% alcohol that starts from its own alcohol base. The gin is produced by a 7-day long triple distillation process, not by simply blending. Ideal for non-alcoholic Gin & Tonic, but also a great base for many other cocktails.
Whitley Neill
Whitley Neill, founded by Johnny Neill, is a British gin brand with a rich history. Its roots go back to Thomas Greenall in 1761. The brand also offers two non-alcoholic variants, known as 'Whitley Neill Raspberry' and 'Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger. These non-alcoholic gins are designed to offer the same exotic botanicals and flavours as their traditional gin, but without the presence of alcohol. It is therefore the perfect alternative for people who want to experience the taste of gin without consuming alcohol.
Holy Water
Holy Water is a young brand in the oh so crowded spirits market. But behind the brand are experienced entrepreneurs. With a clear ambition: to deliver a unique taste experience that evokes pleasant memories; and to become the most sustainable drinks brand.
Holy Water deliberately chooses local production by an artisan distiller. His craftsmanship results in an authentic drink with carefully selected botanicals. The subtle flavour of sweets makes this drink unique. Everyone likes a sweet, a tasty Cuberdon or a more acidic Bonbon napoleon from time to time. The makers of Holy Water are also very fond of sweets themselves, so for them the choice was easy.
Besides the standard range, they also offer non-alcoholic versions of some popular flavours. Ideal to get through Dry January with!
Other non-alcoholic spirits
In addition to the selection above, you will also find non-alcoholic rums, mezcal and even wine in our range of non-alcoholic drinks!

As a creative jack-of-all-trades in the marketing world, I also bring that imaginative flair to my drink choices. Whether on a night out, sunny vacation or social gathering with girlfriends, I'm always in my element with a refreshing cocktail in hand. Cocktails have stolen my heart because of the endless possibilities to experiment and explore. My favorite cocktail of the moment is the "Lazy Red Cheeks"! A delicious cocktail using vodka as a base. I love vodka because it mixes perfectly with non-alcoholic drinks. My favorite spirit? Rum!
