Domaine Charlopin Tissier Marsannay Les Longeroies 2022 is a red Burgundy from Marsannay in the Côte de Nuits, made entirely from Pinot Noir. Its origin matters here: Les Longeroies is one of the notable lieux-dits of Marsannay and is mentioned among the climats considered for possible future Premier Cru classification.Domaine Charlopin Tissier was founded in 2013 by Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier. The estate works on a small scale, with a clear focus on individual Marsannay sites. For this cuvée, a product-specific source notes that the vineyard was planted in 2015, on limestone or clay-limestone soils associated with the northern Côte de Nuits.
The winemaking is shaped around clarity and detail: full destemming, a cold soak before fermentation and spontaneous fermentation. Domaine Charlopin Tissier comes from Burgundy, one of France's most highly regarded wine regions. This relatively young estate was founded in 2013 and is run by brothers Yann and Justine Charlopin, who come from a family with deep-rooted wine traditions. Although the estate does not yet belong to the absolute greats of Burgundy, it has managed to attract attention in a short period of time with its approach to winemaking: respect for the terroir, minimal intervention in the cellar, and a strong focus on the expression of grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Charlopin Tissier owns vineyards around, among others, Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, resulting in a range of typical Burgundy wines that vary from fresh, mineral-driven white wines to elegant and refined red wines. The working method is largely traditional, with manual harvesting and careful selection being standard practice.
