About CALAMARO
Calamaro is an Italian amaro that continues the tradition of bitter herbal liqueurs from Italió in a contemporary way. The drink was developed with inspiration from the rich Italian history of amaro, where herbs, spices, and sometimes citrus fruits are steeped in alcohol to create a complex flavor profile. Calamaro is known for a balanced combination of bitter and spicy notes, which are typical for many classic amaro's, and is intended to be enjoyed both neat and in cocktails. The precise recipe and origin location within Italiâ are not widely communicated, which aligns with the mystery surrounding many traditional amaro brands. Calamaro is produced in small batches and is mainly aimed at consumers interested in authentic Italian flavors with a modern twist. Thanks to the versatility of the brand, Calamaro can now be found in bars and restaurants where classic or innovative cocktails with amaro are featured on the menu, but this liqueur also proves excellent as a digestif.
