Product info about Valdespino Herencia Vermouth
Valdespino Herencia Vermouth has a distinctly Spanish foundation. Rather than relying only on botanicals, it begins with a blend of Oloroso Sherry aged for more than 12 years and Moscatel from the renowned Solera Promessa. The Oloroso brings mature depth, while the Moscatel adds a gentler sweetness and an elegant citrus accent.Its aromatic side comes from a hydro-alcoholic maceration with bitter extracts of wormwood, coriander, elderflower and gentian, alongside chamomile blossom, clove, cinnamon, dried Seville oranges and juniper berries. That gives the vermouth its layered personality: bitter, sweet and spiced elements are all clearly present without losing the sherry-driven core.
The final blend is aged in casks that previously held Valdespino Oloroso. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of aperitif we like to introduce to customers looking for a vermouth with real depth, where the wine base and botanical character feel closely connected.

About VALDESPINO
The history of Bodega Valdespino begins in 1264. At that time, Don Alfonso Valdespino was the first to start cultivating and aging sherry wines. He earned the land for this by fighting alongside the Spanish King Alonso and recapturing the city of Jerez de la Frontera from the Moors. Since 1430, there has been evidence of trading activities by Valdespino, and since 1883 they have been a purveyor to the royal court in Spain. Literally hundreds of years of history have shaped this winery. The wines of Valdespino vary in style, flavor profile, and price range. You will find beautiful accessible sherries as well as hyper-exclusive and unique bottles. A whole world to discover!
