About RONCO CALINO
Ronco Calino is an Italian winery that exclusively produces Franciacorta, a sparkling wine from the region of the same name in Lombardy. Franciacorta is known as the Italian counterpart of champagne and is made according to the traditional method, with the second fermentation occurring in the bottle. The Ronco Calino estate is located near the village of Adro and covers about ten hectares of vineyards surrounded by forests, which creates a unique microclimate. Here, mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown, the classic grapes for Franciacorta. Since its founding in the 1990s by Paolo Radici, Ronco Calino has been a relatively young estate within the region, but it is fully focused on organic grape cultivation. The winery works with minimal intervention and strives for pure, elegant sparkling wines in which the character of the grapes is central. The assortment consists of various cuvées, including brut, satïn, and millesimato, which range in style from fresh and refined to more complex with longer aging on the lees. Ronco Calino has managed to distinguish itself in a short period by its emphasis on sustainability and the careful selection of vineyards, which can be tasted in the clear and vibrant style of the wines.
