Bokma is a well-known Dutch genever brand with roots that go back to the end of the 19th century. The brand was founded in 1826 in Leeuwarden, Friesland, where it is still strongly connected to regional traditions. Bokma produces genever according to the classic art of the Frisian distilling tradition, using grain alcohol and a carefully selected mix of juniper berries and other herbs. The brand is especially known for its clear young grain genever, but also offers old genever and corenwijn in its assortment. Over the years, Bokma has distinguished itself as a brand that holds on to the traditional Dutch drinking culture, while at the same time managing to integrate contemporary elements. The clear, mild taste of Bokma young genever is often appreciated because of the accessible style, while the old genever and corenwijn offer depth and richness that suits connoisseurs. Bokma uses its own distillation method in which the neutral grain alcohol and botanicals are carefully brought together.
