About MARI MAYANS
Mari Mayans is a Spanish liqueur brand originating from the island of Ibiza and is known for its traditional regional products. The brand was founded in 1880 by Juan Mari Mayans and has since maintained a strong connection to the Balearic Islands, particularly Ibiza and Formentera. From the beginning, Mari Mayans specialized in distilling and blending local herbs, which led to the development of the popular liqueur Hierbas Ibicencas. This herbal liqueur, which finds its origin in the long Mediterranean tradition of homemade herbal elixirs, is produced using aromatic plants such as rosemary, thyme, anise, and orange peel. The composition follows an authentic recipe that has been passed down within the Mayans family for generations. Over the years, Mari Mayans has grown into one of the most recognizable liqueur brands of the region. The products are still manufactured in Ibiza, where both traditional and modern techniques are used to safeguard the distinctive flavor profile. The assortment includes different varieties, among which sweet, dry, and expressively herbal liqueurs are appreciated as both an aperitif and a digestif. Mari Mayans reflects in its offerings not only the island's rich tradition, but also the meticulous work of a family business with a deep connection to its origins.
