Nardini Hylde Sambuco is an Italian liqueur shaped around the refined aroma of elderflower. It is produced by Distilleria Nardini, founded in 1779 in Bassano del Grappa and described as the oldest still-active distillery in Italy. That background gives the bottle a pleasant contrast: long-standing distilling knowledge expressed through a fresh, modern liqueur style.The name Hylde refers to Hyldemoer, the protective spirit of the elder tree in Nordic folklore. Elderflowers are at the heart of the recipe: harvested by hand in spring, carefully dried and then processed cold to help preserve their delicate aromas.

About NARDINI
In 1779, Bortolo Nardini moved to Bassano del Grappa and learned everything about grappa. He invested in the Osteria del Ponte, now the Grapperia Nardini. That was the first time a distillery established itself in a permanent location - before that, it was customary for distillers to bring their equipment to the winemakers to distill on site. Thus, the first Italian grappa was born. Today, Nardini is still a family business with a very extensive range of different drinks. Grappa of course, but also bitters, amaro, liqueurs and Acqua di Cedro are made by them.
