About ZUBROWKA
Zubrowka is a Polish vodka that takes its name from the grass that grows in the Biaowiea forest in eastern Poland: so-called zubrowka or bison grass. This special vodka is not just a neutral alcohol, but gets its characteristic flavor from a stalk of this grass that is added to every bottle. According to tradition, this vodka was already being made in Poland in an artisanal way for centuries, but the brand name Zubrowka first appeared on the market around the beginning of the twentieth century. Over time, it developed into one of the best-known Polish vodka brands elsewhere in Europe, thanks in part to its smooth, lightly spicy flavor in which subtle notes of vanilla and herbs can be detected. Production takes place according to Polish tradition, with the vodka usually being distilled from rye. Internationally, Zubrowka has gained a solid place in the vodka segment and is mainly drunk straight, or used in mixed drinks such as the classic Apple Zubrowka (Zubrowka with apple juice). The distinctive bottle with the grass and the recognizable silver-green branding have become inseparable from the shelves, for enthusiasts looking for something special in the world of vodka.
