Vandeurzen Gruner Veltliner 2021 is a Belgian white wine from Wijnkasteel Vandeurzen in Linden, close to Leuven in Flemish Brabant. Linked to the Hageland, it presents Grüner Veltliner in a dry, fresh style with 12% alcohol.The estate sits on a south-facing slope, with sandy loam soil and an iron-rich subsoil. Since 2013, the Vandeurzen family has developed the historic castle estate with a broad-minded choice of grape varieties, including Grüner Veltliner. That makes this wine especially interesting as a Belgian reading of a grape that is still far from ordinary in this country.
Its maturation in stainless steel keeps the focus on freshness and clarity rather than oak influence.
