Tertio de Montrose 2017 offers a more approachable view of Château Montrose while staying firmly rooted in Saint-Estèphe. It is the estate's third wine, made in Bordeaux from the château's classic red grape varieties, with the 2017 blend led by Merlot and supported mainly by Cabernet Sauvignon.The vintage has a clear sense of place. The 45-hectare vineyard was farmed organically, and its position close to the Gironde proved important during the spring frost, as the river helped moderate temperatures. After a dry, measured summer, September rain accelerated ripening and the grapes were harvested between 12 and 29 September.
In the cellar, the work was deliberately precise: more than 90 small vats allowed separate vinification of individual lots, with gentle extraction and a slightly shorter maceration than the previous year. Twelve months in barriques complete the picture, giving a Saint-Estèphe with rounded fruit while keeping freshness and structure in view.

About CH MONTROSE
Château Montrose is a respected winery from the Bordeaux region in France, located in the appellation of Saint-Estèphe, which is part of the famous Médoc area on the left bank of the Gironde. The estate was established in the early 19th century and gradually grew to become one of the important names in the region. Château Montrose has held the classification of Deuxième Cru Classé since 1855, meaning Second Grand Cru Classe, which indicates considerable historical reputation and quality status in the history of Bordeaux wine. The vineyard covers approximately 95 hectares and is planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, supplemented with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
