Kracher N°5 Grande Cuvée Nouvelle Vague Trockenbeerenauslese 2019 is a sweet white dessert wine from Illmitz in Burgenland, Austria. It comes from the Seewinkel area near Lake Neusiedl, where morning mist, evaporation from the lake and the warm Pannonian climate create the conditions for noble rot, the key element behind this concentrated style.The wine is made from 60% Welschriesling and 40% Chardonnay and forms part of the Kracher 2019 Collection. As a Nouvelle Vague release, it was fermented and matured in new barriques, with 28 months of ageing adding fine spice and wood influence to the wine's rich fruit and sweetness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this half bottle stands out as a dessert wine with real table presence. Kracher suggests pairings such as Kardinalschnitte, Marillenknödel and goose liver terrine with brioche and fleur de sel. The recommended serving temperature is 10 to 12 °C.
