Product info about Clos De Los Siete 2019
Clos De Los Siete 2019 is an Argentinian red wine from Vista Flores in Mendoza's Valle de Uco. It comes from the Clos de los Siete by Michel Rolland project, where several estates within the same high-altitude property contribute to one shared blend. Malbec leads the composition, supported by Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.The vineyards sit at around 1,100 metres above sea level, on sandy and clay soils with large pebbles. That dry continental setting helps shape the wine's style: ripe fruit, substance and freshness in the same glass. The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted twice and moved through the cellar by gravity.
After 11 months of ageing, partly in French oak barrels and partly in tanks, the wine has gained depth while keeping the fruit at the centre. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a strong example of a Mendoza red blend with body, polished tannins and enough acidity to stay lively.
Its combination of dark fruit, spice, tannin and oak-derived notes makes Clos De Los Siete 2019 a natural partner for red meat, especially steak or grilled beef. As these are the last bottles, this vintage has become a little more limited in our selection.

About CLOS DE LOS SIETE
Clos de los Siete is a joint wine project from the Argentine Mendoza region, founded by the French winemaker Michel Rolland together with a group of friendly wine families. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Andes mountains, at an altitude of around 1,100 meters, which contributes to the character of the wines. Michel Rolland, known for his expertise in Bordeaux, was impressed by the potential of Argentine Malbec in the late nineties and decided, together with other producers, to develop a large area. Clos de los Siete refers to the walled plot in which originally seven partners collaborated. Since then, a few partners have left and the project has acquired a solid reputation with wines that generally consist of blends of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and occasionally Petit Verdot. The style is usually powerful and fruit-driven, with typical influence from the high altitude which ensures freshness and balance. Clos de los Siete focuses on making accessible but qualitative wines that bridge French wine tradition and the Argentine terroir. The brand exports worldwide and is internationally recognized as one of the leading examples of collaboration between European wine expertise and the possibilities of South America.
