Château Citran 2020 is a dry red Bordeaux from Haut-Médoc, produced as the grand vin of Château Citran in Avensan and referred to as Cru Bourgeois Supérieur. The 2020 vintage is built from cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc, with strict parcel selection and sorting playing an important role in the final wine.There is a clear left-bank feel here: structure, freshness and dark-fruited depth, supported by traditional vinification in temperature-controlled vats. Ageing in French oak barriques, with around 35% new oak, adds shape and savoury detail without turning the wine away from its Bordeaux identity.

Château Citran is a winery from the French Bordeaux region, specifically located in the appellation Haut-Médoc, north of the city of Bordeaux. The history of the estate dates back to the 13th century, making it one of the older wineries in the region. Over time, Château Citran has had various owners. Since the end of the twentieth century, it has been under Asian ownership, but wine production remains firmly rooted in traditional French viticulture.
