Château Francs Magnus 2020 Magnum is a dry red Bordeaux Supérieur with merlot firmly at the centre of the blend. The 2020 vintage is made from 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc, grown on an estate of around 13 hectares set on a limestone plateau with a thin layer of clay.Its interest lies in the way it keeps a clear fruit focus while retaining the structure of Bordeaux. After selection, the grapes are handled without crushing to help preserve fruit integrity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and concrete vats, with daily pump-overs and punch-downs, followed by ageing mainly in vat and partly in used barriques.
