Château Canon 2020 in half-bottle is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion and the grand vin of Château Canon. The 37.5 cl format gives this wine a very appealing role: a serious Saint-Émilion that can be opened without committing to a full bottle.Its origin on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion is central to the style. The blend is 68% Merlot and 32% Cabernet Franc, bringing ripe fruit and concentration together with freshness, fine structure and a clear limestone-driven tension. The grapes were hand-harvested and manually selected, with parcel-by-parcel vinification and gravity handling. Ageing took place for 18 months in French oak barriques, half of them new.

About CH CANON
Château Canon is a well-known winery from France, located in the heart of the famous wine region Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux. The estate covers approximately 34 hectares and is mainly planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, grape varieties that are typical for the region. Château Canon has a rich history dating back to the 18th century and owes its name to Jacques Kanon, a former owner who bought the property in the middle of the 18th century. Since then, the château has had several owners, and since 1996 it has been part of the French luxury group Chanel, which invests heavily in both the winery and its reputation. Canon is internationally known as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B within the classification of Saint-Émilion, which is a serious indicator of quality. The vineyards are situated on the characteristic limestone plateaus of Saint-Émilion and benefit from an excellent terroir.
