Product info about Saintayme 2020
Saintayme 2020 is a red Bordeaux from the Right Bank, produced in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. It comes from Vignobles Denis Durantou and is made entirely from merlot, with fruit sourced from Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse on the eastern side of Saint-Émilion.The 2020 vintage brings together ripe merlot fruit with the freshness and tension repeatedly noted in tasting descriptions. The grapes were harvested at the end of September, fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barriques, 30% of them new. The oak is described as present but not dominant, sitting behind the fruit, spice and earthy depth.

Saintayme is a French wine that comes from the Saint-Émilion region in Bordeaux. This wine comes from vineyards located in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Saintayme is produced by Denis Durantou, a renowned winemaker who was also responsible for several other respected chateaus in Bordeaux, such as L'Église-Clinet in Pomerol. Saintayme is known as a single vineyard wine, which means that the grapes come from a specific vineyard with an area of about 9 hectares. The wine is made entirely from Merlot grapes, which is typical for many wines from Saint-Émilion.
