Domaine Villemaine Touraine Chenonceaux Blanc 2024 is a white Loire wine from the AOC Touraine Chenonceaux, made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc. The estate is based in Thîsîe in the Touraine and has a family history dating back to 1825. For this cuvée, the grapes come from selected south-facing parcels with low yields, grown on clay-limestone soils.The interest here lies in the way the wine gives Sauvignon Blanc extra breadth without moving into an oaked style. The grapes are destemmed and pressed, 30% of the cuvée sees skin contact, and the wine spends nine months on fine lees. That lees ageing supports texture and aromatic softness while keeping the focus on fruit, floral detail and Loire freshness.
