Cathiard Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is an estate-grown Napa Valley red from vineyards in St. Helena and Rutherford, at the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains. It also marks an important moment for Cathiard Vineyard, as 2020 was the first vintage released under the ownership of Florence and Daniel Cathiard.The wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the estate's oldest hillside vineyard, with an average vine age of 35 years. The grapes were hand-harvested, carefully sorted and moved by gravity, followed by gentle extraction during vinification. Maturation lasted 18 months, mostly in new French oak.
Its appeal lies in the way it brings Napa depth together with a precise, structured feel. The available tasting notes point to ripe dark fruit, cocoa, tobacco, spice and refined tannins, supported by freshness rather than sheer weight alone.
