Product info about Relais De La Dominique 2020
Relais de La Dominique 2020 is the second wine of Château La Dominique, an estate in the north-west of Saint-Émilion, close to the border with Pomerol. For this vintage the wine is made entirely from Merlot, giving it a clearly fruit-led Bordeaux character with roundness, ripe tannins and an approachable feel.Its background is very much rooted in the estate. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, grow on clay-gravel, clay-limestone and sandy soils over clay. The Merlot was harvested by hand between 10 and 23 September 2020, followed by 14 months of ageing, mainly in vats with a smaller proportion in once-used barrels.
