Château Gazin 2021 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux with a notably pure Merlot focus. In this vintage, the grand vin was blended entirely from Merlot, while the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon harvested on the estate were used for the second wine. That gives the 2021 a distinct place in the Gazin story: less about warmth and sheer power, more about freshness, line and the classical side of Pomerol.The estate's vineyard lies on the Pomerol plateau, on high terrace soils of clay, gravel and iron oxides, with blue clay in the subsoil. In the cooler, less sunny 2021 vintage, that setting translates into a wine with poise rather than excess ripeness. Fourteen months in barriques, half of them new, add structure and polish while keeping the focus on red and dark fruit, floral detail and a firm but elegant frame.

Château Gazin is a French winery from the famous Bordeaux region and is known for its production of red wine on the right bank area of the Dordogne river.
