Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2021 Demi is the estate's Grand Vin in a 37.5 cl half bottle. It is not a separate cuvée, but the same Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé in a smaller format, useful when a full bottle is more than the occasion requires.Grand Corbin-Despagne has a long family story behind it. The Despagne family has been established on the Grand Corbin terroir since 1812, and the 2021 vintage was their 210th harvest there. The vineyard lies in the northern part of Saint-Émilion, close to Pomerol, and the blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet franc and a small proportion of cabernet sauvignon.
The 2021 vintage is presented in the available notes as a fresher, more precise expression rather than a particularly opulent one. Grapes were hand-picked in small crates and carefully selected, with ageing in new barrels, one-year-old barrels and amphorae. That gives the wine structure and a visible élevage in youth, while leaving room for further integration in bottle.

Ch Grand Corbin-Despagne is a French winery that has its origins in the Bordeaux region, specifically within the Saint-émilion Grand Cru appellation. The estate is located in the northwest of Saint-émilion and is one of the older and more established names in the area, with roots going back well into the nineteenth century. The Despagne family has been closely connected to the winery for several generations and is known for their care for both tradition and innovation in viticulture. The vineyards cover about 28 hectares and are mainly planted with Merlot, supplemented by Cabernet Franc and a smaller portion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which is characteristic of the terroir and wine style from this region.
