Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2021 Demi gives you the estate's grand vin in a 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a practical format when you want to open a serious Pauillac at the table without committing to a full bottle.This is the first wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, a 5th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. The 2021 vintage is clearly Cabernet-led, made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. The estate's vineyards sit on deep, coarse gravel soils around the château, a setting that fits the firm, precise character associated with Pauillac.
The grapes were harvested entirely by hand and underwent a double selection. After a long maceration, the wine matured for 16 to 18 months in fine-grained French oak barrels, with a substantial proportion of new oak.
