It comes from Château La Pierrière in Gardegan-et-Tourtirac, in the Castillonnais, and is made as a Bordeaux blend led by merlot, with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon playing supporting roles.The interest here lies in its firm, youthful Castillon character rather than in easy softness.
