Bibi Graetz Testamatta White 2023 is a Tuscan white wine with a very distinctive sense of place. It comes from Isola del Giglio and is made entirely from Ansonica grown in high, terraced vineyards on granite rock and granite sand. That island origin matters: the wine is shaped by ripe fruit, but also by salinity, freshness and a clear mineral edge.The grapes are hand-harvested and brought to the cellar in Giglio Castello. Fermentation starts at low temperature in stainless steel, before a large part of the wine continues in barriques and matures on the lees with bâtonnage. That combination helps explain the style: precise and lively, yet with enough texture and structure to feel serious at the table.
The producer describes 2023 as a cooler, milder vintage than the preceding years, with winter rainfall replenishing the vines and a steady growing season preserving freshness and aromatic intensity.
