Château Gloria 2022 Magnum is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux's Left Bank, built around cabernet sauvignon with merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc completing the blend. The wine comes from Château Gloria's vineyards within the Saint-Julien appellation, spread across several parcels, including areas around Beychevelle and towards the northern edge near Pauillac.The estate has a distinctive story. Henri Martin created Château Gloria by acquiring plots one by one from the 1940s onwards. It is not part of the 1855 classified growths, yet it is often described as the largest non-classified château in Saint-Julien. That background gives the wine a particular charm: firmly rooted in a prestigious appellation, but with a story shaped by patient assembly rather than inherited classification.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry growing season, producing small, concentrated grapes with high polyphenolic concentration. Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats was followed by around 14 months in French oak barrels, with 40% new oak. The style stays focused on ripe dark fruit, structure and well-integrated oak spice.
