Clos Haut Peyraguey 2022 is a sweet white wine from Sauternes, produced by Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey in Bommes. The estate has a remarkably focused setting: a single enclosed vineyard of 6 hectares on the highest point of the Bommes hill. It is also one of the Premiers Grands Crus Classés of Sauternes from the 1855 classification.The 2022 vintage is made from 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. The vines average 38 years of age, with certain Sémillon parcels more than 80 years old. Gravel and sand over a clay subsoil are part of the estate's explanation for the freshness retained in the wines, an important counterpoint to the natural concentration of Sauternes.
The growing season brought a mild, wet winter, a dry and moderate spring, then a dry summer marked by heat. Harvest took place in October through three separate selections, with a very low yield of 9 hl/ha. That careful picking reflects the precision needed for Sauternes made from grapes concentrated by noble rot.

Clos Haut Peyraguey is a wine estate from the Sauternes region in France, specifically located in Bommes, in the heart of the renowned Bordeaux area. The estate belongs to the classified Premier Cru Classé of 1855 and is known for its sweet white wines, made from traditional grape varietals such as Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle.
