Product info about Pavillon Du Glana 2022
Pavillon du Glana 2022 is the second wine of Château du Glana in Saint-Julien, Médoc. It gives a clear impression of the estate's Bordeaux identity: Cabernet-led, structured and rooted in the gravel soils of the château's own vineyards.The blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, so the wine is built around the firmness and dark-fruited character of Cabernet, with Merlot adding a rounder edge. The 2022 vintage at Château du Glana was shaped by a warm, dry summer, small berries and very low yields, bringing notable phenolic concentration.
That concentration was handled carefully in the cellar. The estate worked with gentle extraction at low temperature, followed by 12 months of ageing, with 15% new barriques. The result is a Saint-Julien where the oak supports the wine rather than taking centre stage.

Ch Du Glana is a French wine producer originating from the well-known Bordeaux region, more specifically located in the appellation Saint-Julien in the Medoc. The winery, officially Château du Glana, owns vineyards that are mainly known for the classic Bordeaux grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The history of the estate goes back to the beginning of the twentieth century and saw strong development from the middle of that century onwards, with investments in modern viticulture and winemaking techniques. The vineyards can be found on the gravel-rich soil close to the river Gironde, which is typical for the wines from Saint-Julien. The red wines of Ch Du Glana are known for their elegant, balanced style with fruity notes and a subtle hint of oak aging. Due to its location and methods, the character of these wines corresponds well with other Saint-Julien producers, but Ch Du Glana distinguishes itself thanks to a relatively approachable character and good price-quality ratio.
