Chateau Haut Marbuzet 2022 is a red Saint-Estèphe from Bordeaux and the grand vin of Château Haut-Marbuzet. The estate, whose modern reputation developed from 1952 under Hervé Duboscq, is recognised as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and is rooted in vineyards on Günz gravel with a clay-limestone subsoil.The 2022 vintage is built around merlot and cabernet sauvignon, supported by small proportions of cabernet franc and petit verdot. That relatively generous merlot presence is part of the Haut-Marbuzet identity: ripe fruit, a rounded texture and more immediate generosity than the most severe expressions of Saint-Estèphe, while still keeping the structure expected from the appellation.
Traditional vinification is used, including full destemming, long maceration and daily pumping over. Ageing in barriques, stated at around 18 months for this vintage, adds notes of spice, cedar and chocolate, but the wine remains centred on its dark fruit, tannic frame and fresh support.

Château Haut-Marbuzet is a well-known wine producer from the Saint-Estèphe region in Bordeaux, France. The winery has its origins in the nineteenth century, but gained more recognition especially from the 1960s onwards when it was taken over by the Duboscq family. The vineyards of Château Haut-Marbuzet cover an area with mainly gravel and clay soil, characteristic of Saint-Estèphe, which contributes to the distinctive style of their wines.
