Château Puy Boyrein Rouge 2021 is a dry red wine from Graves, within Bordeaux. It is built from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with Merlot taking the leading role in the blend. At 12.5% alcohol, it presents itself as a Bordeaux with a measured, food-friendly character rather than a heavy style.The estate is located in Roaillan, in the southern part of Graves, where the vineyards are planted on clay and gravel soils. The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation, with daily pump-overs and controlled temperatures. Ageing then takes place in cool underground vats before bottling at the estate. That production path keeps the focus on fruit, freshness and a supple structure.
