    Chateau Cap Saint-George 2022 is a red Bordeaux from St Georges Saint-Emilion, one of the small satellite appellations on the Right Bank. Merlot leads the blend, supported by cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon, giving the wine a clearly Right Bank identity built around dark fruit, structure and savoury depth.

    The estate belongs to Jean-Philippe Janoueix and works vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils with south to south-west exposure. The winemaking is described as precise, with hand harvesting, gravity-fed handling and fermentation of uncrushed berries. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels, including a significant proportion of new oak, so the young wine carries a noticeable wood influence alongside its fruit.
