Rare Ayrshire 1975 40y is a Lowland single malt Scotch with a quietly impressive sense of time behind it. It was distilled on 24 October 1975 and bottled on 2 December 2015, giving it forty years of maturation before being released at natural cask strength.
Signatory bottled it as part of the Rare Reserve series, drawn from a single bourbon barrel. With only 166 bottles produced, this is not a broad release but a very precise look at one individual cask after four decades of ageing.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are selected for customers who value provenance, age and rarity as part of the drinking story. Its collector's item status and last-bottles indication underline just how limited this release has become.
