Eddu Diamant 1999 16y is a French whisky with a very distinct identity. Made in Brittany as a pure buckwheat whisky, it sits apart from more familiar grain whisky styles and immediately brings something different to the glass.
Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2015, this release combines sixteen years of maturation with single cask character and a very small outturn of only a few hundred bottles. With the last bottles now available, it feels like a precise snapshot of a whisky that will not simply reappear in the same form.
