Sailor's Home Caravelle 10y takes its name from two ideas of discovery: the caravel sailing ships used on long voyages from the 15th to the 17th century, and the Caravelle peninsula in Martinique, described as a wild and lush nature reserve.

Its name refers to the trade winds that have shaped the climate, culture, trade and history of Trinidad & Tobago. That sense of movement and exchange is very much part of the whiskey's identity.
The whiskey first matured for at least 10 years in American bourbon casks, before being finished in specially selected Trinidad and Tobago Spiced Rum casks. Those rum casks had originally held sherry, and the rum itself was infused with Caribbean spices and tea from India.
