Wakaze Nigori Saké is a French interpretation of Japanese saké tradition. Made in France from Camargue rice, water and rice-koji, this unfiltered Junmai saké has the cloudy, gently opaque appearance that immediately points to the nigori style.
Its character comes from a specific pressing method that leaves a small amount of lees in the saké. That explains the milky look, the soft texture and the rice-led aromas. Wakaze Red Wine Barrel is not a grape wine, but a Junmai sake shaped by a distinctly Burgundian idea. After brewing, the sake is aged in used Pinot Noir barrels from the Jacques Prieur estate, giving the rice-based drink a gentle connection to French red wine culture without turning it into wine.
