Yoichi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt with a clearly defined personality. It is made at the original Nikka distillery and brings together whiskies of different ages, so the focus is less on an age statement and more on the distinctive Yoichi style.
A key part of that style comes from coal-fired pot still distillation. It gives the whisky its smoky, maritime edge while allowing the fruit to remain present. Sherry and bourbon casks add structure to that profile, supporting the interplay between fruit, gentle peat, spice and smoke.

Yoichi 10 Years New brings an important part of Japanese whisky history into the glass. This single malt comes from Yoichi, Nikka's first distillery, founded in 1934 on the island of Hokkaido. That setting matters: Hokkaido's climate is described as reminiscent of Scotland, giving this ten-year-old Yoichi a distinctive place among Japanese single malts.
