Blind Tiger is a Belgian gin brand that has secured a permanent place on the international gin market since its launch in 2014. The brand is produced by Deluxe Distillery, based in the West Flemish city of Kortrijk. Blind Tiger takes its name from the so-called Blind Tigers or Blind Pigs, terms that were used during the American Prohibition era as code names for illegal bars. This historical reference is visible in both the branding and the striking bottle design. The production process uses a mix of traditional and less common botanicals. Typical for Blind Tiger is the use of, among other things, lime leaves and coriander seed, which gives the gin a pronounced, fresh, and spicy character. The range consists of several variants, of which the first expression, the Handcrafted Gin, is the best known. Since its introduction, the brand has won several international awards, including distinctions at the London Spirits Competition and the World Gin Awards.
