Product info about Ardbeg Renaissance

Ardbeg Renaissance is a(n) whisky from Scotland by the brand Ardbeg. It falls within the whisky group under the category Single Malt. This whisky comes from the Islay region. Ardbeg Renaissance is regarded by us as a Collector's Item, which makes many a collector's heart beat that little bit faster. It is one of the many references you can currently buy online at Drankenshop Broekmans.

IMPORTANT: This whisky from Ardbeg will never return once it is sold out. If you want to be sure that this Ardbeg will shine in your bar cabinet, don't wait too long to order!

This whisky is matured in Oak Cask barrels. It is a version of 70 cl and has an alcohol content of 55,9%.

With a no-age-statement whisky, no age is indicated on the bottle. Often producers choose not to disclose age when an older whisky is supplemented by younger ones. After all, according to the rules, the age must always be the youngest whisky in the blend, which is not desirable when the bulk in the blend is older (and therefore more valuable). Conversely, one can also choose not to mention age, when predominantly young whisky is diluted with a small amount of (very) old whisky. In that case, the product is often marketed at a higher price, and to justify that high(er) price, a choice is made not to mention an age (which would otherwise be the youngest in the blend).

We have compiled a flavour profile for this Ardbeg Renaissance whisky. Of course, taste is very personal, so these parameters mainly serve as a guide to help you figure out what you like so you can discover new things.

Right from the start, you will find quite strong smoky notes in this product. You will pick up these flavours immediately and they will determine your first impression. The briny flavours are quite noticeable, but are not dominant. They help determine the flavour, profile and character of this drink but are less decisive than any strong notes present. There are noticeable woody, spicy, and also fruity hints, but these flavours are subtle. They add extra character and depth to this drink, without really pushing it in any particular direction.

Based on this profile, you can conclude that this whisky has a pronounced, recognisable character.

Finally, we have listed some fun facts and answers to frequently asked questions for you about this Ardbeg Renaissance whisky:

- This whisky was distilled on/in 1998. This is the date when the maturation process started in the barrel.

About ARDBEG
