Product info about Chateau Peyrabon 2019
Château Peyrabon 2019 is a red Haut-Médoc from Bordeaux with a clear Left Bank identity. It comes from Saint-Sauveur in the Médoc, close to Pauillac and the Gironde, and carries the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur designation. The setting and the blend point towards a wine built on structure, dark fruit and freshness rather than simple softness.Cabernet sauvignon leads the blend, supported by merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted carefully and vinified in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless-steel vats. Extraction was handled with restraint, helping the wine keep definition while still showing the depth of the 2019 vintage.
Maturation took place for 14 months in barriques, 25% of them new. The oak plays a supporting role: present in the architecture of the wine, but not described as dominating the fruit. About CH PEYRABON
Château Peyrabon is a wine estate from the Haut-Médoc region in Bordeaux, France, that is especially known for its red wines. The estate is located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, near Pauillac, on a classic Bordeaux site with mostly gravelly soil, which is favorable for growing cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes. The history of the estate dates back to the nineteenth century, with the name referring to the castle that stands centrally on the grounds. Since 1998, it has been owned by the group Millésima, part of CA Grands Crus, which has contributed to investments in both the vineyard and cellar. Château Peyrabon covers more than 50 hectares of vineyard and uses traditional Bordeaux methods for vinification: the grapes are processed separately by plot, followed by aging in wooden barrels. The wines of this château are known for their balance, structure and a classic style that ages beautifully in the bottle, with elegant notes typical of the Haut-Médoc. In addition to the main wine, a second wine is often produced under the name La Fleur de Peyrabon, so that younger vines and slightly more approachable wines can also find their way to enthusiasts.
