Product info about Vinedo Chadwick 2019 Magnum (1,5l)
Vinedo Chadwick 2019 in magnum is a Chilean red wine from Puente Alto in the Maipo Valley, with Cabernet Sauvignon firmly at its centre. The vineyard lies at around 650 metres above sea level on what was once Alfonso Chadwick's polo field, with old alluvial terraces of gravel and stones associated with the Maipo River.The 2019 vintage was shaped by a dry winter, a warm spring and warmer-than-usual conditions in January and February, followed by a cooler March. That final cooler phase allowed the grapes to complete ripening more slowly, while retaining acidity and aromatic intensity. The blend is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot, fermented across stainless steel, concrete and truncated cone-shaped vats.
After 22 months of maturation, mostly in new French oak barriques with part in foudres, the wine shows the composed structure of serious Cabernet without moving into heaviness. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this magnum as a bottle where place, vintage and format all matter: a wine for a table where it can unfold gradually, or for further bottle age.
Strong critical recognition from James Suckling, The Wine Advocate, Tim Atkin MW and Vinous reflects the standing of this 2019 release. More importantly, the wine brings together freshness, tension and depth in a way that clearly points back to Puente Alto. Availability is now limited to the last bottles.

About VINEDO CHADWICK
Vinedo Chadwick is a Chilean wine brand that originates from the world-famous wine region of Maipo Valley, near the capital city Santiago. The label is part of the renowned winery Errázuriz, which belongs to the Chadwick family, an important name in Chilean winemaking. The Vinedo Chadwick vineyard was established on the former polo field of Don Alfonso Chadwick, who is also regarded as the founder of the vineyard. Since 1999, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced here on a relatively small scale, with close supervision of the vinification process and the selection of grapes. The vineyard's location near the Andes allows for slow ripening of the grapes, resulting in elegant, powerful wines with great depth. Annual harvests are often limited, which has given Vinedo Chadwick an international reputation as an exclusive wine with consistently high quality.
