Chateau Duhart-Milon 2016 is a Pauillac with a strong sense of place: the grand vin of Château Duhart-Milon, classified as a Fourth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. The estate belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite and sits in the northern part of Pauillac, on the Milon hill, west of Château Lafite Rothschild.The 2016 blend is 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot. It was a hot, very dry summer, with rain in mid-September helping the grapes continue their ripening under favourable conditions. Harvest ran from 26 September to 12 October, giving a wine described by several sources as combining structure, freshness and controlled power.
In the cellar, the approach remained traditional for Bordeaux: careful sorting, fermentation in concrete or stainless steel vats depending on the parcel, gentle pumping over, and ageing in French oak barrels, 50% of them new. The individual barrels were assessed before the final selection for the grand vin was made.

Château Duhart-Milon is a renowned winery from the Bordeaux region in France, more specifically situated in the prestigious Pauillac appellation. The estate is part of the famous 1855 classification and at that time received the status of Quatrième Grand Cru Classé, a distinction awarded only to a select number of châteaux in the Médoc.
