Chateau Duhart-Milon 2016

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2016 is a Pauillac with a strong sense of place: the grand vin of Château Duhart-Milon, classified as a Fourth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. The estate belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite and sits in the northern part of Pauillac, on the Milon hill, west of Château Lafite Rothschild.
The 2016 blend is 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot. It was a hot, very dry summer, with rain in mid-September helping the grapes continue their ripening under favourable conditions. Harvest ran from 26 September to 12 October, giving a wine described by several sources as combining structure, freshness and controlled power.
In the cellar, the approach remained traditional for Bordeaux: careful sorting, fermentation (…)Chateau Duhart-Milon 2020

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2020

Château Duhart-Milon 2020 is a dry red Pauillac with a clear Left Bank signature: Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot, giving the wine its dark, structured Bordeaux character. This is the grand vin of Château Duhart-Milon, a 4ème Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification and part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite.
The estate's vineyard lies to the west of Château Lafite Rothschild, on the Milon slope and adjoining the Carruades de Lafite plateau. Fine gravel, aeolian sand and a limestone subsoil form the setting for a wine built around freshness, depth and graphite-like definition. The 2020 was vinified in the traditional Bordeaux manner, with careful sorting, separate vinification by origin, gentle pump-overs (…)Chateau Duhart-Milon 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2020 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Duhart-Milon 2020 is the Grand Vin of this Pauillac estate, offered here in a 1.5-litre magnum. That format suits a wine built around origin, structure and patience. Duhart-Milon is a Fourth Growth from the 1855 classification and belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite.
The 2020 blend is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. The fruit comes from the Château Duhart-Milon vineyard in Pauillac, on the Milon hill near the Carruades de Lafite plateau, where fine gravel, aeolian sand and tertiary limestone form part of the vineyard identity. In the glass, that background is reflected in a classic Pauillac frame: dark fruit, freshness, defined tannins and a marked graphite note.
This vintage also has an extra point of interest for the (…)Chateau Duhart-Milon 2021

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2021 is a red Pauillac from the grand vin of Château Duhart-Milon, a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification and part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. It is very much a Left Bank Bordeaux, shaped by its origin and by the cooler, less sunny 2021 vintage.
The blend is led decisively by cabernet sauvignon: 81%, with 19% merlot. For Duhart-Milon, that merlot share is historically low, and it gives this vintage a firm cabernet identity. The drier gravel soils were especially favourable in 2021, bringing the wine towards precision, freshness and structure rather than broad opulence.
Vinification follows a traditional Bordeaux route, with careful sorting, parcel-by-parcel fermentation in cement or stainless-steel (…)Chateau Duhart-Milon 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Duhart-Milon 2021 Demi is the half-bottle format of the grand vin from Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac. Demi refers to the 37.5 cl bottle, not to a separate cuvée. It is a very appealing size when you want to enjoy a classified Bordeaux without opening a full bottle.
The estate is a Quatrième Cru Classé from the 1855 Médoc classification and is part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. Its vineyard lies on the coteau de Milon, west of Château Lafite Rothschild, on fine gravel mixed with aeolian sand over a limestone subsoil. The 2021 vintage was less sunny, and that brought the differences between terroirs into sharper focus. Cabernet sauvignon performed particularly well on the dry gravel soils, giving this wine a (…)Chateau Duhart-Milon 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Duhart-Milon 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Duhart-Milon 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of the grand vin from Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac. The estate is a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification and belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. The 37.5 cl format changes only the size of the bottle, not the identity of the wine: this is the same Duhart-Milon 2022 in a more compact format.
The 2022 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. That strong Cabernet presence fits the château's own description of the vintage as unusual for Duhart-Milon, marked by notable depth and richness. The vineyards lie just west of Château Lafite Rothschild, on the coteau de Milon, with fine gravel and wind-blown sand over limestone (…)Moulin De Duhart 2020

Moulin De Duhart 2020

Moulin de Duhart 2020 is the second wine of Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac, made from the same estate vineyard area as the grand vin. It carries the Left Bank identity clearly, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon shaping a red Bordeaux that has structure, but with a more supple and approachable feel than the château's main wine.
The 2020 blend is 53% Merlot and 47% Cabernet Sauvignon. Maturation lasted 12 months in two-year-old French oak barrels, giving the wine an integrated oak note rather than a dominant new-oak signature. The vintage also marked the first use of the estate's new gravity-fed reception in the cellar, intended to bring intact berries into the vats.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Pauillac we like to present when (…)Moulin De Duhart 2021

Moulin De Duhart 2021
In stock
Moulin De Duhart 2021 is the second wine of Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac, part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. Its name refers to a former mill on the plateau des Carruades, next to the Duhart-Milon vineyard. That gives the wine a clear sense of place: it comes from the same estate setting as the grand vin, but is selected in a style that is more approachable earlier on.
The 2021 blend is 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from the vineyards of Château Duhart-Milon, on the coteau de Milon adjoining the plateau des Carruades de Lafite. Moulin de Duhart is generally selected from younger vines than the grand vin, while still following a classic Médoc approach: controlled fermentation, gentle extraction and 12 months of (…)Moulin De Duhart 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Moulin De Duhart 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Moulin de Duhart 2022 Magnum is a red Pauillac from Bordeaux and the second label of Château Duhart-Milon, part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. Its name refers to an old mill on the Carruades plateau, next to the Duhart-Milon vineyard. In this 1.5 litre magnum bottle, the wine has a table presence that suits its Bordeaux pedigree very well.
The 2022 blend is particularly noteworthy: 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon. That makes this vintage clearly Merlot-led, while still coming from the same vineyard base as Château Duhart-Milon. The selection is made from parcels and vines that are generally younger than the estate average, giving Moulin de Duhart its own place beside the grand vin.
Fermentation takes place in concrete and stainless (…)
