Château Duhart-Milon 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of the grand vin from Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac. The estate is a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification and belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. The 37.5 cl format changes only the size of the bottle, not the identity of the wine: this is the same Duhart-Milon 2022 in a more compact format.The 2022 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. That strong Cabernet presence fits the château's own description of the vintage as unusual for Duhart-Milon, marked by notable depth and richness. The vineyards lie just west of Château Lafite Rothschild, on the coteau de Milon, with fine gravel and wind-blown sand over limestone subsoil.
Vinification follows the traditional Bordeaux route, with careful selection and parcel-based fermentation in concrete or stainless steel vats. The wine then matures in French oak barrels from the Tonnellerie des Domaines in Pauillac, half of them new, before the final selection for the grand vin.
