Mandrarossa Sentiero Delle Gerle Rood 2019 is a Sicilian red wine from Etna Rosso DOC, made from Nerello Mascalese grown on the south-eastern slope of Mount Etna. Its origin is central to the wine: volcanic soils, an indigenous grape variety and a producer that places this cuvée within its Storie Ritrovate range, dedicated to specific Sicilian origins and native varieties.The winemaking is measured rather than showy. Maceration and fermentation last around 10 to 12 days at controlled temperature, after which the wine is separated from the skins without pressing. It then matures for 10 to 12 months in large 50 hl French oak casks, a form of ageing that supports structure and development without suggesting a dominant small-barrel style.

Mandrarossa is a wine brand from Sicily, Italy, and is part of Cantine Settesoli, a coöperative that has been active since 1958 in the Menfi region in the southwestern part of the island. The brand was introduced in the early 2000s and focuses on producing wines that reflect the character of Sicilian terroirs.
