Marqués de Vargas Reserva 2016 Magnum is rooted in Hacienda Pradolagar near Logroño, in Rioja Alta. The estate works with its own vineyards surrounding the winery, dividing them by soil, climate and grape variety. That estate-focused approach is central to the identity of this Reserva.The 2016 vintage is built mainly on Tempranillo, with Garnacha and Mazuelo playing supporting roles. Tempranillo brings elegance, Garnacha adds a richer fruit expression and Mazuelo contributes freshness. The grapes were hand-picked, selected by parcel and fermented with native yeasts, followed by 22 months of ageing in French oak.
